Peran Penting Product Knowledge Konsumen pada Brand Extension Jasa yang Tidak Konsisten Brand Specific Associations -nya | The findings of previous research on brand extension supports th_ importance of perceived fit in reaching favorable consumer evaluation. However studies under the condition of weak perceived fit of brand extension is still very limited, espeally in the service market. This study combines both weak perceived fit and service market to see how product knowledge of the parent brand and brand extension strategy influences the evaluation of brand extension using a 2x2x2 factorial experimental design. The results shows that product knowledge has signficance influence of supporting favorable brand extension evaluation under weak perceived fit condition; brand extension stragegy (direct and associative/indirect) inflluence, on the other hand, was not supported in this study. The later result raise the question of the importance of using different brand extension strategies when introducing new products. The former results that shows strong support for the importance of product knowledge, on the other hand, shows the importance of making sure that the different target market for a weak perceived fit brand extension also has a strong product knowledge of the parent brand. | 1 - 11 |

Interaksi Nilai-Nilai Organisasi dengan Kepemimpinan dalam Mempengaruhi Karakteristik Pekerjaan Petugas Kredit Bank BUMN di Jakarta | People have been recognized broadly as the most strategic resource of an organization. The company that has employees with higher motivation will have more opportunities to create sustainable conapetitive advantages, and the employees that have higher motivation and satisfaction are more likely to perform better and stay with the organization. Job characteristics are regarded as a significant source of motivation and satisfaction in organization, in line with QWL (Quality of Work Life) paradigm that recommends intrinsically motivating jobs. This research aimed to show up the interaction among organizational values and leadership in creating a motivating job for Credit Officers at state-owned banks in Jakarta. This applied explanatory research used the hypothetico-deductive method and path analysis. Two hundred and forty-nine respondents participated in this study. Analisis Pengaruh Sistem Kompensasi dan Kesempatan Promosi Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan dengan Kepuasan Kerja Sebagai Mediasi (Studi Pada PT. Surya Agam Pematangsiantar) | This study aims to test the influence of wage satisfactions and promotion opportunities towards employees work quality which mediated by work satisfactions. The data were collected by questionere and analyzed by using multiple linier regression. To test model and influence of mediation variable is used standardized beta coefficient. This study shows that the wage satisfaction and promotion opportunities influence work satisfactions. This study also result that the wage satisfactions, promotion opportunities and work satisfactions influence employees work quality. The result indicated that direct influence of compensation system has more impact than indirect influence through work satisfactions, so work satisfaction does not mediate indirect influence of wage satisfactions towards employees work quality. Direct influence of promotion opportunities to work satisfactions has more impact than indirect influence through work satisfactions, so work satisfactions does not mediate indirect influence promotion opportunities towards employees work quality. | 33 - 46 |
Pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan, Budaya Organisasi dan Motivasi Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan | Employees performance is affected by some factors, such as, attitude of human resources, work management and mechanism, and facilities. This research is aimed at obtaining valid and reliable information related to the effect of leadership style, organizational culture, and work motiation on employees performance or Regency/Municipal Offices of National Education in South Sulawesi Province. 135 respondents were chosen randomly using the formula of Cohen to be the samples of the study. The data were collected by survey technique and analyzed by path analysis. The data analysis and interpretation indicated that employees performance is affected directly by leadership style, organizational culture, and work motivation. The findings lead to the conclusion that any changes occurred at the employees it could be affected by leadership style, organizational culture, and work motivation. It implies that leadership style, organizational culture, and work motivation should be improved in order to have better performance of employees of Regency/Municipal Offices of National Education in South Sulawesi Province besides other additional variabels. | 47 - 60 |
Dampak Peningkatan Assets, Penjualan dan Likuiditas terhadap Profitabilitas Perusahaan | Every public company is required to submit financial statements audited by public accountant every year. This study examines the effect of the increase in assets, increase in profitability and increase in liquidity on leverage of public companies in the trade, services and investment sector, which are listed on the stock exchanges of Indonesia. This study used multivariate equation model. The study found that the increase in assets providing a positive influence but not significant. Pengaruh Manajemen Risiko terhadap Financial Distress | Indonesian economic had been slowly recovered from economic crisis in 1997, but many of the firms in the Property, Real Estate, and Building Construction Industry are still in financial distress. This research is to determine the effect of risk management on the financial distress. Stakeholder Analysis of Corporate Social Responsibility In Mass Media In Indonesia : A Preliminary Study | Print, film, radio, internet, and television are central parts of our daily life. We might, for example, learn about society and interact with another. The concept of stakeholders is central to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Stakeholder is any identifiable group or individual who can affect the achievement of an organizations objectives or who is affected by the achievement of an organizations objectives. This study tries to determine how various constituencies affect and is affected by CSR. This study seeks to address the following questions: (i) which stakeholders are affected by CSR? (ii) who has an interest in the CSR? (iii) who is in a position to exert influence on CSR? News of CSR issued on daily newspaper from January 2005 to December 2007 was gathered and analyzed using content analysis method. The result shows that local community and employees are most affected by CSR: primary stakeholder and secondary stakeholder have some interest in CSR in difference level; local and central government and CEO of corporate are in position to exert influence on CSR. | 94 - 105 |
Transformasi Masyarakat Miskin Menjadi Entrepreneur melalui kolaborasi Perusahaan Besar (CSR), Pemerintah dan Masyarakat | The poverty is one of the critical problems that a nation has because it will decrease the level of the citizen living such as bad condition of their health, lack of nutrition, low level of education, less productivity which affects on the national productivity. In line with the above problem, the total of the poverty of the Indonesian population was relatively high in 2008 which reached 34.96 million people thought it decreased to 32.53 million people in 2009. How to transform the poor people to be entrepreneur? This question is important in order to reduce the total poverty. To achieve that goal, it needs the role of large corporations in actively taking part in CSR, as well as universities and the government as the agents of change. Unfortunately, based on the secondary data, the study revealed that, out of 466 corporations which were analyzed and evaluated, only 47.64 percent of them did not implement CSR, in particular they were not responsible for their environments. Thus, it suggests that the society and the government have to take a role in reinforcing some large companies to implement CSR as well as to assist and provide credits to smallsized business done by the society.
